You are cordially invited to join Black Women of Impact and Soul Paddle SD and myself for an evening of Pickleball on Tuesday, September 15 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM held at Access Youth Academy.
Butter Pecan ice cream became a staple flavor in many southern black households because of the social custom during Jim Crow era that black Americans were not allowed to eat vanilla ice cream.
In adaptation, Black Americans opted for darker flavors such as chocolate or butter pecan which eventually became the widespread preference in the South.
Come recognize the resilience interwoven in Black American History while serving as your favorite ice cream scoop. 🤍🤎
